Driven by the beat of time, in an interaction of being loud and quiet, tremendous opinions meet soft feelings. In search of its determination, everything finds its place and the alleged oppositions form a perfect symbiosis. Evolution produces the pop addicted rock music. aVid* is contrast harmony, urge and sanity, black and white. aVid* is to see and to hear! Absolute power, driving guitars, uncompromising drums and then – sensitive feelings. The band shouts it out loud with honesty, which touches ones heart. aVid* lets it out with a lot of soul. An interplay of booming rhythms and then again, silent, emotional sounds. This is the passion that carries you away and which gets under your skin. The band Chris (26), vocals…is pop Even as a child, he never left home without taking along his walkman. As a communication-designer, he’s made it his business to look for the perfect melody. Always having a clever business concept in mind and to have the huge desire to sing a jingle for a commercial. Chris, this is bad jokes, action heroes and a big amount of melancholy. Julian (26), bass…is jazz. Coming from the country and having a good figure…when he enters the stage (barefoot) he becomes one with his instrument. During his music-studies he perfects his play. Next to Scholle, his bass is his constant attendant. But his good taste is often destroyed by some pungent spices. Julian, this is sports, jazz and Hermie. Steph (21), guitar…is rock. Probably the most talented guitar player in western Europe. When he gets his fingers going, there’s no stopping him. Besides his study to become teacher, he spends a lot of time with music, what else? Generally, he belongs to the group of quiet people but once he got started, there’s just no stopping. Steph, this is finger-acrobatics, Steve Vai, rds and absolute coolness. Scholle (26), drums…is groove. A tight bass drum and a fat snare make him smile. If he doesn’t drum himself, he teaches this ability to his pupils. Not only because of his photography-study, he sees the world in images. He just won’t leave home without his headphones and his bottle of coke light. Scholle, this is hip hop, chili and an upset stomach. Dates & facts During the three years that aVid* exists, they rocked many stages. They could gather a lot of experience in 100 gigs in national and international cities. They rocked legendary clubs like the „docks“, „kaiserkeller/starclub“ or the „batschkapp“. But they gave proof to their ability at the biggest festivals like „rock am ring“ , „hurricane“, “highfield”, “ rock’n’coke” or the„kieler woche“. Thus, aVid* played with many national artists like the “fantastischen 4”, „juli“, „reamonn“ or „silbermond“ but also including international artists like „chris cornell“, „franz ferdinand“, „the smashing pumpkins“. But that’s not all: aVid* is looking on a growing fan community and constant top positions in many internet-platforms like “myspace” or the “sound foundation”. Therefore, it is not surprising that the longing for an album becomes bigger and bigger. Until that day, we do what we can do best: to spark people at live shows!
