In real life, d-phrag is known as Ivan Philipov. He was born in 1969 and does web & graphic design for a living. He has always been passionate about different styles of music; started out by listening to heavy metal bands like Ratt, Dokken, Greatwhite and other LA glam bands. Then came the new wave years - especially The Cure, Duran Duran and others. Around 2000, he discovered Astral Projection and the rest is history. His love & passion for electronic music began with goa trance and even Prodigy tracks :) Eventually d-phrag discovered the Northern Exposure series and Global Undergound compilations. In his words, "this really pushed my musical boundaries", he became entranced with DJ's like Sasha, Digweed, Oakenfold, Kleinenberg... In 2003 d-phrag decided to see what was so special about DJ-ing and tried some DJ software. That lead to the joy of smooth transitions between two tracks that seem completely different, the joy of leading the listener's experience to whatever you like... He does mixes for his own pleasure and will sometimes do a mixset for friend's birthay parties as well as some radiomixes.
