There are at least 4 bands named Afterlife:
1) Steve Miller is the writer / producer / remixer behind the blissful beach grooves of Afterlife. This album is the natural progression from working with a number of major artists including K-Klass, Karl Pitterson and Jose Padilla and having tracks included on the Cafe Del Mar series.
Rachel Lloyd features mainly on Simplicity 2000. Rachel has appeared on stage at Glastonbury as well as travelling with Hed Kandi on their tour of Ibiza in July. Rachel sings on, among other tracks, Dub In Ya Mind which has been licensed to over 50 compilations worldwide!
Afterlife has appeared at a number of venues throughout Europe including Glastonbury, Ibiza - Cafe Del Mar, Base Bar, Pacha Playa, Mojo Club Germany, Supper Club * Amsterdam. 2001 will see them at Miami Music Event In March, as well as further European Gigs and regular appearances this summer in Ibiza.
Instantly accessible and superbly crafted Simplicity is a deliciously chilled work of art. From the delicate vocals and flamenco guitar of Cry to the deliciously cool Dub In Ya Mind this is one album that sits neatly between Groove Armada and Morcheeba.
Simplicity was originally released in Sept 1999 but proved so popular it was quickly withdrawn to be repacked and re-marketed to a wider audience. The repackaged album was promoted throughout the summer of 2000 and re-released in Sept 2000. A bonus CD featuring remixes and new tracks was added.
Since then Afterlife has released "Speck of Gold" in 2003 featuring Cathy Battistessa, Melanie Williams, Dannii Minogue with remixes by Roger Sanchez, Chris Coco and Cantoma.
The Afterlife Lounge in 2005 which was a series of Collaborations with Chris Coco, Phil Mison, Cathy Battistessa, Pete Gooding and Bren Huston.
The new 2009 album Electrosensitive is being hailed as his best work to date and will be released in early summer.
