Drivepilot is the solo project of 25 year old US-based musician/producer Nick Edwards, originally from Vancouver, Canada. Using his previous years of rock production and engineering as a backbone, Drivepilot has quickly cemented his position as one of the strongest emerging artists in the modern EDM community. His debut 5-Song "Savages" EP was released in July 2010, on Traction Records- a Portland, US based label he co-founded, and gained immediate early attention and support. After the release of Savages, Drivepilot went back in the studio, churning out huge official remixes for electro favorites such as Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Haezer, Autodidakt, NEUS, and F.O.O.L, amongst others. His second release in 2010, the "Fuck Yeah!" EP, has already become infamous in its own right and has gained incredible support by DJ's and fellow artists globally, most notably by italian duo Cyberpunkers, who played the original mix in virtually every set in the last half of 2010.  Drivepilot songs are staples in DJ/artist sets and mixes, already being featured in hundreds of mixtapes and electronic music blogs- including tracks in 5 OMGITM Artist Supermixes- and his Soundcloud music page alone already commands over 100,000 plays despite not even being up for a full year. Drivepilot's production style is fresh, in-demand, and easily identifiable despite the variety of genres and sounds his songs can cross- a major component of it coming from his rock background and influence. His remix of French rock group Sna-Fu's "Firefriend" is a perfect example of this- bringing an exciting modern electro twist to the track while infusing an aggressive energy usually only seen in heavy rock production. Armed with a dangerous arsenal of synths, guitars, basses and drum machines, Drivepilot has no intentions of stopping anytime soon.
