New Edge is a duo comprised of Nikolay Popov and Dmitriy Skakun, founded in April 2005 in a village Balakhta, Russia. In 2007 Dmitriy moved to Prague, Czech Republic. They work on their music remotely now. Grown up in a cold Siberian country, with tumbledown houses, rusted junk overgrown with grass, drab streets and endless fields, they express their impressions through music. Method of work – brain and computer, sometimes adding live instruments. Their motto – «do it yourself», everything, from music to artwork is made by their own hands. New Edge je duo založené Nikolajem Popovem a Dmitrijem Skakunem v dubnu 2005 v ruské Balachtě, Dmitrij žije od roku 2007 v Praze, nadále spolu však úzce spolupracují. Dospívání v chladné sibiřské zemi, polorozpadlé chatrče, ruiny zarůstající travou, špinavé ulice a nekonečná pole - tyto dojmy silně ovlivnily jejich hudbu. Metoda jejich práce, to je hlava a počítač, někdy za přidání skutečných hudebních nástrojů. Motto skupiny zní "«do it yourself», udělěj sám.
