WALLY LÓPEZ OFFICIAL BIO (ENGLISH) Last update: Nov 2010. Born in Madrid in 1976, Ángel David López began his career as radio DJ and presenter at the early age of thirteen. House music pioneer in Spain and a great musical restlessness began his career as a producer. In 2000 launched the label imprint Weekend Records and remixed artists like Tïesto, Marco V, Valentino Kanzyani, Dirty Vegas, Bob Sinclar and Robbie Rivera among others. Since then, many of their releases are published with a great success in some of the major labels such as Defected, Underwater, Yoshitoshi and Subliminal. That year, also produced what will be his first international hit "Amman", followed by "Patricia Never Leave The House" or "Disco Night", hits which were played all over the world by international artists like Pete Tong, Hernan Cattaneo or Steve Lawler. After working for a variety of labels and artists, decided to create in 2001 "La Factoria Records" (now "The Factoria") which was followed by the creation of some different sublabels along the next years ("Formula Records", "Fat XL", "Factomania Digital"...). All of them are encompassed within Factomania Group, a big brand headed by Wally which has some different areas more as management agency or clothing store in Madrid called "Tremenda Shop". The Factoria currently has more than 30 international high-profile releases such as "Love Time", "Strike Me Down" or the recent "Noche Sin Luna", "Planet Hearth", "Burning Inside", "Close To Me". But as a producer has also recently released on labels like Toolroom, Cr2, Material or Yoshitoshi among many others. Moreover, Wally Lopez has remixed artists like Lighthouse Family, Enigma, Santana, Miguel Bosé, Cosmic Gate and David Guetta´s track "Just A Little More Love", which launched his career internationally, as evidenced by the Ibiza DJ Award received in 2004 for this remix.. He also participated in the creation, selection and mix of dozens of compilations for some important brands like teh airline company Vueling, Global Underground, Toolroom, etc. Profile Wally radio man is also very important in his career. With an innovative program that specializes in dance music, began his career as a radio DJ when he was thirteen by issuing its meetings in the early hours of Top Radio (Spain) during the weekends. After passing through different radio stations such as Flaix FM or Loca FM, Wally began to present his own radio show, "La Factoria" on Maxima FM, with over 600,000 listeners every Friday in Spain, pplus thousands ofl listeners via internet. His radio show is also broadcast in English in Belgium, France , Italy and Russia. As a DJ, Wally has played on five continents, in the best clubs in the world. He has had residencies at Pacha Ibiza, The End (London), Discotheque (Barcelona), Red Light (Paris), Pacha (Barcelona), Ministry of Sound (London) and The Mix (Paris) and performances at festivals such as Creamfields Liverpool (X anniversary), Buenos Aires Creamfields, Global Gathering, Exit Festival, Weekend Dance, Rock in Rio, Monegros Desert Festival and Creamfields Andalucia, and finally to his current summer residence in what many consider the best club in the world, Space Ibiza, Be @ Space festivals. Also in his honor Wally has to be the first Spanish DJ to have been invited to perform at a Madonna concert (Sevilla'08). All this has positioned itself in the last four years as the only Spanish DJ in the prestigious magazine's Top 100 British DJ. In addition to the unconditional love of an audience that has followed over the past twenty years, has earned recognition and respect from industry professionals and some brands that currently collaborate and work with full support in the creation and promotion of certain products 100% Wally. To name a few, Oakley like Pioneer are now the main partners, the former providing original glasses, a hallmark of Wally and the latter providing technological support, being Wally one of the official DJ of the Japanese brand. Wally Lopez collaborated on other projects such as Movida Corona, an initiative that supports emerging DJs, or Dance4life, an organitzation in the fight against AIDS, with its image and full support to the cause, one of the projects that I personally consider most important and useful.
