Serhan Aydemir aka MEMOS started his music life by collecting cassette tapes in the late 1980s. He continued keeping music in his life and became a radio host in 1995. He spent most of his time, with much passion, discovering new music styles. He has participated in Miller Music Factory 2008 and became the winner of the DJ category. Right after the MMF, he started his radio show at Istanbul’s premier electronic/indie radio station Dinamo FM 103.8 where he shares his mixes weekly. He had the oppurtunity to play in many prestigious night clubs and festivals in Istanbul. In 2010, he decided to pursue his music career abroad and moved to New York. He has performed with well-known musicians and bands such as, Gorillaz Sound System, Joakim, The Whip, Friendly Fires, Portecho and Dorian Paic. He plays in several venues of New York and some other states. He’s one of the resident DJs of Nublu, a popular music club owned by the exceptional musician Ilhan Ersahin, in the East Village.
