1) Long time friends and members of multiple local bands, PK formed for both the sheer joy of playing music and at the same time to help strengthen the weakening scene in their hometown of San Luis Obispo, CA. In 2007 PK recorded a five song EP entitled Casting Shadows at Green bean Studios in Sunland, CA. With the strength of this EP, PK established a strong following in Central and Northern California. Working completely for themselves, the members of PK created many tight relationships with bands, fans and promoters alike. From San Jose to San Francisco to San Luis Obispo, PK draws more new fans each time they return to a city. At the beginning of 2009 PK returned to Green Bean to record a three song demo. Currently released online and through burned CDs passed out at shows, these three songs have already opened up PK’s market to a much wider audience. Now not only do the original, “teen to twenties” fans still enjoy the music but PK has been able to find an audience in their fans’ parents as well. With a much more cohesive and marketable sound these three songs show much promise for what’s to come. The band will return to the studio in mid-August to record five more songs that will be combined with the previous three to create a six-song “half-length” leaving two songs to be released later. After the completion of the record, PK will begin weekend tours, strategically playing areas in northern, southern and eastern California, quickly building markets all over the state. Equipped with a newly purchased van and trailer, and the strength of the new songs PK will be touring from now until forever. 2) pk, also known as Pekka Ketonen, is a Finnish electronic musician born in 1983, who started producing music with trackers in 1998. pk’s music isn’t restricted to any one genre, however is propably most known for his celtic-inspired new age tracks. 3) PK is a young rapper from a little country called Estonia. Being only seventeen years old, PK has earned the title as one of the youngest MC’s ever entered Estonias official MC Battle. PK aka Joosep Vau, was born in the capital of Estonia, on the third of July, 1989. He always loved to sing as a kid and it hasn’t changed towards today. Though he doesn’t sing that much nowadays, but compiles rhymes often being considered better than many full grown MC’s lyrics. PK started in the fall on 2003, imitating and looking up to local star Chalice. PK went by the name Under then. After learned end getting to know the hip-hop life a little better, Under changed his name in November of 2004, to PK, which means Painduv Keel in estonian, translation - Flexible Tounge. That name was supposed to represent loyalty to the estonian language, be rememberable, catchy and it was to be a clue, that PK is going to murder with his flow from now on. After failed as an artist with Under, PK took much respectable sights to get to. He went from being a 14 year old kid, trying to be famous to being not so much older 16 year old youngster, doing what is right for him and what could be called as underground hip-hop. Just after changing his name, he recorded a track, that was well known all over Estonia. The track was called “Tõrje” and featured production from a MC who had just realeased his first album, s’Poom. Slowly, but effectively, PK was invited to perform at underground hip-hop parties. In the spring/summer of 2005, PK entered the list of rappers, taking part of the official and biggest MC Battle of Estonia. He made it through the qualification round with a little trouble as he almost didn’t get through due to lousy judges as he was really killing it. He got to the main event though and murdered a local jokeartist Kemo. In the second round he went on with the most feared - Põhjamaade Hirm, and lost. Being the youngest MC battleing, PK earned a respectable 5-8. place, being now recognized. He was one of the mc’s who came together to form a crew called LHV. On with CutMasta’, Daf and Feikii, he made several songs, a couple live performances and after that PK left the crew in the summer of 2006. In 2006 he entered the MC Battle 2006 and many people predicted that PK would win the contest. This wouldn’t happen and he finished with the same position as 2005. Luck hasn’t been exactly a lady but with inspiration from Mos Def, Hi-Tek, Atmosphere, Non Phixion, Dilated Peoples and especially Talib Kweli, PK keeps writing and recording his soloprojects for the outcome he wants, likes and respects himself. 17 years old now with many-many sleepless night to come, trying to make the best out of hip-hop inside of him. “Life isn’t about music, music is life”. In 2007, 27th of June PK suffered an attack and nearly died. Surviving the near-death experience, PK changed massivly and began to rise money much higher than before. He went through some serious days of hustling and trying to make money. He’s LP “the Factory” is coming out in 2008 and features 23 songs and a lot of features. Allmost every beat in the Factory is made by PK himself. He was verbally stoned for changing his style but he didnt care. He realized that most of the world is ran by money and deepness in the early stage of his life is completely pointless. Taking Lil’ Wayne as an example, PK began to make his lyrics much easier. His EP “Glassnails” never got released due to moneyissues that PK never wants to occur again. He has a lot on arguements in the Estonian scene due to him being finally open enough to express his opinion. No more good guy obviouslly. PK also started an indieband, which doesnt have a name yet. He now goes by the name IPRC. 5) PK is the name used by Peter King to make beautiful electronic music. 6) PK is a underground hip hop musician from Dexter Maine who is also known as PayinKilla. He Started recording music in the year of 2006. PK is known for being a lazy sack of sh*t who likes to watch old school wrestling & listen to music all day.
